What does Nuwa mean?
Nuwa, which translates to ‘lovely woman’ in Chinese, is a mother goddess in ancient Chinese mythology. It is said that she rescued humanity in the midst of a great calamity and gave humans the ability to reproduce. Her spirit of devotion, compassion and nurturing resemble Nuwa’s mission closely. These are some of the reasons why, when Dr. Eastin’s 9-year-old daughter suggested Nuwa to her mom as they brainstormed names for the clinic, it was instantly an easy choice!

Dr. Eastin has been passionate about helping people conceive for over 15 years. Upon relocation to Gresham after years of working in integrative clinics in Portland, she realized she missed the powerful dynamic of a multi-modality clinic. She dreamed of bringing together a team of experts in the field of fertility to offer diverse modalities to address the root causes of fertility challenges and support all aspects of health. A few years later, here is Nuwa in it’s new manifestation! Nuwa brings together experienced practitioners of east Asian, naturopathic, and chiropractic medicine as well as massage, holistic pelvic care, craniosacral and nutrition, to deeply support not only anyone on the fertility journey, but anyone at all that wants to get to the root of things and live their best life!

Dr. Eastin and Nuwa clinic are amazing and are highly recommended. I've done a lot of alternative medicine, Chinese medicine, body work, etc. and I truly appreciate Dr Eastin's approach to healing and patient care. The facilities are nice, clean and calm.
Here's the thing- last fall I was suffering from a sudden and chronic stomach GI issue that my allopathic doctors couldn't diagnose or provide care or relief for. I'm so glad I tried acupuncture and chose Dr Eastin. Her care proved to be such an important , critical, helpful part of my healing journey, which lasted over three months . I came in every week, sometimes twice a week.
She provided acupuncture and hands on abdominal massage, which became my favorite thing to look forward to each week as I was going through times of discomfort , stress, pain etc. Her abdominal massages brought me back to calm equilibrium. I can't thank her enough for the support.
She also provided me techniques and tools for healing at home, and provided me information on nutritional strategies to heal the discomfort and affect my overall health and vitality.

Stephanie is wonderful to work with! Acupunture is amazing in general but Stephanie is able to treat every issue I have had come up. Whether it's endometriosis flare, or inability to use my hand or wrist from work issues.
